In this recipe we use crab paste with bean oil along with crab meat to make a savoury stir fried rice dish with a hint of spice. The crab paste gives the rice a really distinct flavour and if you want the fried rice to be spicier, you can just add more chilli.
As always leftover steamed rice works best, and the recipe should make enough for 1 portion and be ready in around 10 minutes including prep time.

Cooking instructions
Step 1: Begin by slicing 2 pairs of kaffir lime leaves, 1 clove of garlic, and 1 red chilli. Then heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a wok and when hot add in the sliced garlic and chill with 1/2 cup of crab meat and 1 cup of leftover steamed jasmine rice.
Step 2: Break up the rice, then add in 1 tbsp of crab paste, and mix everything together thoroughly while frying for about 2 minutes.
Step 3: Once the paste is mixed in with the rice, add in 1/2 tbsp of fish sauce and 1/2 tbsp of sugar. Stir fry for another minute or so before finally adding in the 2 pairs of kaffir lime leaves that we sliced earlier. Stir fry for a final 30 seconds or so, then serve with a sliced hard boiled egg, some spring onion, and any other garnishes or condiments that you like!
