Fried pork with garlic and pepper is ideal for a snack, or as an appetiser, however you could eat it with some sticky rice as a main meal too! This recipe uses just 7 easy to find ingredients, and is so easy and quick to make!

We have used lean pork cut into strips, as you don’t want the pork to be too fatty.

Step 1: Add 3 cloves of garlic, 1 tbsp of coriander stalks, and 1/4 teaspoon of dried peppercorn to a mortar and pestle, and crush into a paste.

Step 2: Next place 300g of lean pork strips into a mixing bowl, and add 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of oyster sauce and the paste that we made earlier. Mix all the ingredients into the pork by hand, and leave the pork to marinate for around 1 hour or more.

Step 3: Heat about 2 tbsp of cooking oil in a wok on a high heat, and then add in the marinated pork. Stir fry the pork for about 7 minutes until it has browned, then serve and enjoy. Goes well with sticky rice, fresh vegetables, or just on its own!
