This recipe is simple yet very tasty, and consists of your favourite cut of beef steak, which is marinated and then grilled and sliced, and served with a spicy and flavour packed dipping sauce.
For best results you should use a high quality cut of steak, and not grill the steak for too long so that it doesn’t dry out. You want the beef to be moist and juicy.

Cooking instructions
Step 1: First we need to marinate the beef, so add 400g of beef steak, 2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of fish sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper to a mixing bowl. Mix everything together and rub the marinade into the beef steak, and leave it to marinate for at least 1 hour.
Step 2: Once the steak has finished marinating, grill it to your liking. Don’t cook it for too long however, as it will get too dry.
Step 3: When the beef is cooked to your liking, thinly slice it, then its time to make the weeping tiger dip. Add 2 tbsp of tamarind paste, 2 tbsp of water, 2 tbsp of fish sauce and 2 teaspoons of palm sugar to a bowl, and mix until the palm sugar has dissolved into the sauce.
Step 4: Finally add 2 teaspoons of roasted crushed rice, 2 teaspoons of dried chilli flakes, 1 sliced shallot and 1 chopped spring onion to the sauce, mix thoroughly, then serve and enjoy with the slice beef steak.
